I just don't have time to find parts for these or just think they are so good to find someone like me who likes this kind of stuff. One pocket watch case back says "We Watch Your Interests The Ireland & Matthews Mfg. Co. Detroit, Mich. May 2 1994". Certina Wrist Watch with see through back so the rotor spins around ok. Speidel watch band with calendar full size and 10 k gold filled tops and 19 mm ends. Couple pocket watch cases and so on.
This has a good looking watch, but low grade one jewel manual wind movement. Has stainless steel back with chrome plated case top. Great looking watch with colorful multi colored dial that has date and movable outside bezels under the crystal. Case has fluted bezel and 3 crowns on the right side, center winds, top moves the outside white country bezel and the bottom one moves the 60 hour red bezel. When I wind it the watch runs but no guarantee it will keep time because it is only low one jewel. Measures 42 mm side to side, 47 mm lug end to lug end and the stainless steel band measures 22 mm where it attaches. Call it a fun watch unless you can get it to keep time. Selling as is.
This has a good look, keeps good time and easy to read. The case is gold plated with stainless steel with an inscription that says “Faithful Employee Carroll and Janice” Don’t understand this give one watch to 2 people and not even give the company name giving the watch. Nice stretch band. Size measures 33 mm side to side and 38 mm lug end to lug end. The back has some pitting.
Ken Cooper spends many hours searching the history of some of our watches and does such great work we will be promoting him to Sr. Vice President in charge of sales on the West Coast. Just look at what he says about this history of this watch.
Carroll & Janice Sneed were born as Siamese twins and were joined too deeply at the hip for any surgery to correct this birth defect. They grew up in a happy home, were well educated, and tried to live a normal life. After high school they found employment at "The Joyful Bliss" prophylactic manufacturing company. They proved to be quick learners & very hard workers. They could do the work of 4 workers and quickly moved up the promotion ladder. Janice was the really smart twin who could figure ways to speed up production while Carroll was the "Work Horse" of the two. Years passed and the company prospered as demand for their product grew & grew. Visitors to the plant were amazed at the twins on how fast the worked as well-oiled team & how well they got along with each other & also the other assembly line workers. When the time came for retirement the owner, a Mr. Ralph Lancer, presented the twins with a single, beautiful Caravelle wrist watch with their names proudly engraved on the back. Mr. Lancer said that there was no need to give out two watches as one would do neatly for the Siamese twins. He also stated he doubted the twins would want the name of the company they worked for on the back of this great time keeper due to the nature of what they produced. Happily the twins loved the watch and then moved into Porter's Rest home & funeral parlor to live out their days. Now Girard offers this unique watch at a very low price for a watch with such a unparalleled history. Be a proud owner of Carroll & Janice Sneed's legacy in this timepiece.
Logo on this dial says Northern Pacific Railway, Not sure is 16 or 18 because it measures 42.5 mm side to side and the feet are at about; first is between 3 and 4 minutes, next is about 20.5 and last is between39 and 40 minutes. Big bold rail road type numbers.
This pocket watch movement has a perfect fancy yellow and white dial that has red 5 minute markers with Roman numerals. The movement is in running condition and it measures 1.5 inches side to side.
Dial says Corum but it is not a Corm it is also marked on the face "Japan Movement Taiwan Dial" this is a copy of a twenty dollar gold coin and it measures 23 mm side to side and the black leather band measures 18 mm where it attaches to this watch. Just put in a fresh battery and it seems to be running and keeping time.
